A Case of Multiple Bowen´s Disease

Abstract

|
A 47 year old male seller with 4 year history of taking herb pill containig arsenic was examind on Feb. 13. 1974 because of generalized multiple pinhead to pea sized dark brownish pigmented macules and bean to little finger tip sized dull red crusted papules on right forearm and right knee joint and dull red crusted nodule on abdominal wall.
The first symptom was arsenical melanosis on whole body. This pigmentation became discolored gradually.
Biopsy specimens were obtained from nodule on abdominal wall and macule on forearm. The findings were charactristic of Bowen´s disease.
Diagnosis was confirmed by clinical appearance and ;typical histopathological features.
